Measurement modes and operating procedure
The system allows for single measurements as well as for a series of measurements.
The cigarettes are positioned on a special tray and scanned with a laser, which is mounted on an electronic vernier calliper.
The vernier calliper is moved manually over the first cigarette and upon pressing the "DATA" key on the mini-processor the measured length is being printed or computed. The procedure is repeated for the remaining cigarettes.
